I made a few adjustments!
Wow guys, I’m really sorry. I’m new to blogging and I just realized that my home page was a total disaster! You couldn’t even look at any of my post, how ridiculous is that?! All my traffic was coming from Pinterest and I didn’t even realize. Now I have went in, did some editing, and now I have a nice menu that you can actually see what i’m posting, haha!
Can I do some bragging for a minute?
Just for a minute, I swear! I’m not one to brag, but this is just incredible. Last month I started a Pinterest business account, and I am already at 103.1k monthly viewers, like oh my god. I will say that it use to be my personal account and I had already unintentionally gained around 70 followers. In the past month I am now at 120, that’s 50 followers, and literally 103.1k monthly viewers. I’m really excited!
This is what I’ve changed-
Like I said, this started off as my personal Pinterest account so it looked… personal. I’ve made some changes to make it look more professional like an account a lot of people would follow. There’s not a face that they are following now, it’s a logo and I’ve found that some how that helps.
I used my name with my own picture, and it looks like my private page, right? Nothing is wrong with the way it looks, but I don’t feel like it will really pull their interest.
This was my page September 22, It’s October’s 4th, and my page has exploded since!
Now, I changed my Pinterest name to Whole Lifestyle. I changed it to this because while I was working on growing my pinterest traffic I also created this lifestyle blog. I had so many topics that I wanted to talk about so Whole Lifestyle was fitting.
Now here is my Pinterest page today! In my opinion, this looks more like an account that I would follow. Since this page makeover lots of new followers have started pouring in, no kidding.
The makeover has really made my page stand out, and was a huge success. I will be honest with you, this wasn’t the first logo I used. Using WordPress I made a terrible logo that looked really tacky. Putting embarrassment aside, I will show you anyways.
Okay, it’s not that bad.. buts it’s not good! This logo doesn’t match my page or what I post. I needed to make something that gave a feel of my page. I think my new logo does that perfectly!
To make my more attractive logo I just downloaded the first free logo maker in the app store that came up, it worked good enough for me! I’m not saying you can’t make a good logo with WordPress, I’m just saying my tech abilities did not allow me to on my iPhone while at work. haha!
